Map specific engrams

My wife and I have been playing through the ARK maps and have done the island. scorched, aberration and are now on Extension. The issue that I'm having is that map specific engrams from scorched and aberration that are not on Extension, like the oil jar and propellant, now show up as if we no longer know them and cannot learn them. I've tried enabled engram overrides and putting in the records in the game.ini file to indicate they should be auto unlocked. I've tried not allowing override and only allowing specific ones and it still doesn't allow me to unlock them. The only think that works i checking the auto unlock all. Is there some special way I need to check boxes and update the ini file to allow for these map specific engrams to be enabled?
