Wild card just added a new game ini "bAllowFlyerSpeedLeveling=true" and just tested on my server and it works , no more need for a mod to do this , just bring this to your attention som maybe a dino check box in ASM to enable it

Thanks for the help, I do hope that ASM creates a check box for this, as I hate updating the ini. Did you have any issue with birds that were modded by the classic flyers mod, specifically retrieving them from the Cryopods?

I don't know if you are just joking justjoeking, but yes, that is correct, you cannot level flying dino speed on vanilla ark without modifying the ini file. This was availble when Ark first released, but was then removed to make Ark more competitive in PvP. After this was enacted, there was a mod created called classic flyers. This mod did more than increase speed though. SO you can still use the mod if wanted. But the ability to turn it back on in the ini means that I no longer need the mod.

I wasn't  that mod that says something about "pre flyer nerf" has been in all my games but i had never read the details of it, i had no idea you couldn't level movement speed on flying creatures! |

I added this to ASM under Custom Game.ini Settings section.. - I created a custom section name first - added this as a custom item saved and restarted server. I don't see it working, any thoughts on what I am doing wrong? |

I am also having this issue when I post the code ("bAllowFlyerSpeedLeveling=true") into custom Game.ini settings and it not working

The setting cannot be added in the Game.ini section because it uses the default section header so adding it to the Game.ini section causes a duplicate section header to be added. You need to add the command to the ini manually while ASM is closed and the server is offline or use the commandline option and add -AllowFlyerSpeedLeveling to the server arguments box.

Yes this would be nice.
Flyer speed level setting can now be found in ASM under Dino Settings, right below the Food Drain Multiplier.
