Hi. I have tried looking in the forums for a solution, but have not found one. I have three servers, val, extinction, and rag. I host them on the same pc that I play on. I have seen people say its impossible to transfer from lan (old threadsfrom years ago), but I have spoken with others who say they can. I have the cluster id the same on all servers, have the cluster directory override checked on all servers, and uploads, transfers and downloads allowed on all servers. None of the servers shows up in the server list when attempting to transfer. Also I do not have the option to even upload my survivor to transfer the hard way. Ports are working properly because friends can find the servers by searching them. The servers do say "waiting on publication," so I don't know if that is the problem or not. Can't find a solution to this. Please help.

Yes, but it's not going to magically fix your problem. I will try to break down your post and be as constructive as possible. Facts- 3 servers, 1 client all the same machine on Windows
- Cluster Directory Override enabled
- Cluster ID match on all servers
Information I needDid you enable ''Allow Foreign Dino Downloads'' in the Rules tab? None of the servers shows up in the server list when attempting to transfer. Are you transferring from server 1 to server 2? Or from LAN to server 2? Have your friends been able to successfully join your servers? No transfer. Recommendations and informationAdd this to your Server Args in Administration: -InitialConnectTimeout=60000.0-ConnectionTimeout=60000.0-P2PConnectionTimeout=60000 The servers do say "waiting on publication," so I don't know if that is the problem or not. Can't find a solution to this. Please help. This means your query port is either incorrect or the Steam servers have not found your server yet, in which case you simply need to wait, it can take up to an hour. The default query port is 27015 and it is used to put your server in the server listing of ARK. I recommend you to create a new server with ASM and import the profile I attached for testing purposes. This attachment is a copy of my live The Island server. passwords redacted and whitelisting based on Steam ID. Perfect for private servers without the need for a password to join. 346f8283-ad17-4113-bf89-158453827cc6.profile (3.75 KB) My Steam ID is in it for both admin as joinable user, you may want to change this in Server File Details. Also change the name of the cluster to match yours.

If so the folder used for clustering is \Ark Server Manager\clusters\IDCLUSTER This will only work if all your servers are managed by ASM only and on the same computer. If you have a server on another computer running ASM the transfer will not work for you. I have a query created in THREADS for the creators of ASM to deign to make changes to (Force cluster directory) and allow customizing the swap folder (clusters). For example being able to select a unit from LAN. I have already achieved it by creating a script but I would like it to be as an option in ASM Verify that all your ports are open on the router. If 1 server is configured as: Port game: 777, Rcon 32000 and Query 27015 The ports that you must open are: TCP/UDP: 7777, 7778, 32000 and 27015 (always add a port to the main port to open it also in the router). Regards!

I seem to be having the same issue regarding transferring survivors in the cluster. I can see all servers in the cluster from server selections screens and in the game at an obelisk to do a transfer. It looks like its going to work, screen dims real quick, then it comes back to the "crate survivor" screen. Oddly though, I can back out of game, go to a different map and download my character. I am on the same LAN segment as my server but I had some of the other cluster admins test it out for me but they get the same result from outside my LAN segment. My setup: - ASM running on an independent server (I play from a completely different machine)
- Server running ASM currently is running 6 servers in cluster
- Each server is on its own 240GB ssd
- Server has a 16 core Ryzen 9 CPU and 128GB of ram. Even with all servers running, I have ample resources remaining.
- Everything is port forwarded (including the +1 or UDP port) and I can see servers in server lists in Steam, in game server list, and at obelisks.
- Port list here:
- Game UDP Query RCON
Valguero 7777 7778 27015 27020
The Island 7779 7780 27016 27021
Ragnarok 7781 7782 27017 27022
Crystal Isles 7783 7784 27018 27023
Extinction 7785 7786 27019 27024
Aberration 7787 7788 37015 37017
Genesis 7789 7790 37016 37018 - I added -InitialConnectTimeout=60000.0 -ConnectionTimeout=60000.0 -P2PConnectionTimeout=60000 to see if that would help but the indications are the same.
When I installed everything, I also grabbed two externals that I had sitting around and not being used. One is for all my backups, the other is where I located the Data folder for ASM. It created profiles and the other directories and files as soon as I marked that as where I wanted Data to be.
For the cluster ID, I have verified and re-verified that they all match and with current output at an obelisk, they do indeed match. I checked the cluster directory override and indications are the same as with it not checked.
I feel like I am missing something really silly but I have been searching these forums and google and can't seem to find a solid solution.
Thank you for your time.

SOLVED. So, in all my searching, I missed a very small line of information in the FAQ section regarding ClusterID. NO SPECIAL CHARACTERS!!!!!!
Once I changed to letters and numbers only, transfers started working and I can even do it on the same LAN segment as my server.

Teach me _/\_ I AM ALSO ON THE SAME BOAT SAME NETWORK 1 SERVER PC 4 GAMING PCS ALL TIMEOUT WHEN TRANSFER OVER I Added -InitialConnectTimeout=60000.0 -ConnectionTimeout=60000.0 -P2PConnectionTimeout=60000 to the server args line under administration. That help with the Timeouts some worked about 50% of the time. To get it where I can transfer like 95% of the time without time out I also started using my public IP address instead of my Lan IP. Also had to check the Cluster Directory Override box. 1.No special characters in cluster ID 2.Check Cluster Directory Override box 3.Add -InitialConnectTimeout=60000.0 -ConnectionTimeout=60000.0 -P2PConnectionTimeout=60000 to server args line. 4.Trying using your Public IP

Hey all, I know I am responding to an old posting, but landed here as I have the same issue. I followed all the preceeding steps in this post along with server args. However, my cluster will keep timing out. I have noticed my original server is duplicated in LAN list and unofficial list. And my second server only shows in my unofficial list. Anytime I try to get into either server off the unofficial list, it times out. But going in off the LAN list allows me into the first server. Once in the first server, I go to the obelisk and try to transfer servers to the second server (which it does see) and it times out again. I have spent last few hours comparing settings and double, triple checking my port forwarding.
