Overhaul Most existing content changed. Requires a vanilla world & save. Mod will not stack.
Dirty Some existing content changed. Likely requires a vanilla world & save. Mod will likely not stack.
Clean Existing content unchanged. Integrates with current save and world without affecting otherwise normal game-play. Mod will stack safely with other Clean mods.
You can NOT stack Overhaul category mods, and you can most probably not stack Dirty mods. The mods simply will not work or hardly at all. Clean is what you're after. A clean mod is essentially a mod that adds new items to the game as opposed to replacing vanilla items. This means the only way for you to know if a mod is dirty or clean is one of the following; 1. The developer tells you what category it falls under. 2. Someone comments on the workshop mod telling everyone what category it falls under. 3. You test the mod and realize for yourself what category it falls under.
Side Note: Be sure you choose a solid mod maker as if the maker quits making or updating their work the mod may break things in future releases and you'll be stuck with what you got or a corrupted world so when choosing think long term.
