Trying to troubleshoot why one or more of my mods refuse to update to the right version so I can play I found a frustrating issue where the server itself fails to stop. It will totally start just fine (I guess, not considering the mod issue), but when stopping the server the cmd prompt will stay open indefinitely until restarting, and even then it will stay open for a while before realizing it's a zombie.
When the prompt stays open (this is basically 100% of the time) the UI will at first say "hey, it stopped" and display the green start button before reverting to the red stop button seconds later. This can be repeated forever, I haven't found a limit to it.
This is version 342.13 of the server.
I'm brand new to this program and got it up and running perfectly yesterday before work, but then upon trying to play later I got a single mod update that completely broke everything (Better Wyverns). It stopped even registering my port forward and I had to verify the server over the course of an hour. After this process was complete the server started and all that, but I couldn't join anymore because a mod(s) on one or the other side has an incorrect version or something. (yes, I've deleted the mod folders in both server and client files). So, yeah. This issue happened after and during all these other issues.
If ASM breaks every time I need to update mods how is it supposed to function in any reasonable manner?

This gets especially annoying when the server fails to start properly with the message "choose map ragnarok"
