Hello All,
I have been struggling hard getting my server back up. For reference, I ran servers using a netgear R7000 router with the same port forwarding under spectrum internet.
The difference now is my location/ISP. I now have AT&T Fiber with an Arris BWG-210 modem router combo that connects directly to my machine that runs the server via ethernet.
I have turned off all advanced firewall information, I have the same windows firewall rules as before, and have attempted to turn off the windows firewall for troubleshooting with no prevail.
I am at work now so I cannot give ALL the details, but I can provide this
My internal IP per cmd ipconfig shows 192.168.1.247
My external IP matches in ASM with cmd Ipconfig 107.*.*.*
My port forwarding is for ports 27015, 7781, and 7782 to my machine.
When I start the server using ipfingerprints I see
27021/TCP as filtered (yellow)
and
27021/UDP as open/filtered (green).
I can connect locally but my friends cannot find the server via steam server.
I have attempted bridging my modem/router to my netgear R7000 in AP mode, but again it didn't work.
I can say that I also port forwarding port 26900 for a 7d2d server and this works fine, and when I attempted to run Ark on the same port I got the same results on ipfingerprints.com...the 7d2d server utilizes telnet and seems to force a virtual loopback.
From my research and reading of forum after forum the only thing I can guess is that there is an issue with NAT loopback, but I am a Mechanical Engineer, not electrical so I can only grasp so much about the magic that is networking.
Has anyone had similar issues with AT&T, or the arris BWG210? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. My friends and wife have been on my rear end about this. So I would like to get them off my back
When I get home around 7p eastern I could provide more pictures and feedback.
Thank you all.
