I got a multiple servers running with ASM on another computer on my network and everything works great. I can get into them and had a friend log into them. Only issue I'm having that I cannot figure out is how to use the cluster feature, I haven't been able to test it with a friend yet, but when I go to transfer character nothing shows up for other servers on the cluster. I've checked and unche

(I have no clue how to fix this either. I've disable firewalls, redid ports and some other things. But from my understanding it's a normal occurance and doesn't affect the server usually. But I'm wondering is this is the issue.)

Passwords - removed for now
If there's anymore info required please let me know, I've tried many things included full deletion and restarting from scratch.
1. you cannot set a password for cluster servers - it will wont allow transferring. You need to use Exclusive join instead to resrict access. 2. you are unable to cluster transfer via LAN, cluster transfer is only available when using the Public IP. This is a problem with the ark server. 3. you need to get someone to check externally if they can do the transfers.
Thanks for the quick reply, so I wasn't far off. Only question I have left is how would one go about connecting through the public IP when you're on the lan? As this server was for myself and others within my home I would like to be able to use this feature.
My router supports NAT loopback, which allows me to use the public IP. Others use a VPN.
The other option, which is not very good, is to turn off the cluster and treat them separately. This way when you go to the obelisk, you get an option to upload the character. When you log into another server, you can then download that character.
Would that sort of option only be available on a router? I currently use my 'Shaw BlueCurve Gateway modem' and don't have a router. I looked through it's setting but couldn't find anything about "Nat, Loopback, Hairpinning" etc. Seems like a silly issues for these servers to have. At this point your recommendation is get a router or start using a VPN eh?
So I tried just uploading and downloading without the cluster option and decided to live with it. But after all that messing around and finally getting it to the point I was gonna start playing on it I've now ran into another problem...
I have no clue what happened. But I came back the the next day and tried to log into my servers that was left on and the servers weren't appearing on the lan list. I tried everything possible to get them to come back.
- Checked and redid all settings multiple times - Deleted ASM and reinstalled - Redid the ports - Reformatted the PC it was on - Factory reset my modem - Made multiple server profiles - Tried logging in with steams server option - Had other try to connect on their computers - Tried connect with another computer on the same network
- I made a quick minecraft server which worked fine, just to see if whatever it was affected that. Not sure if that's useful info
- Also noticed before it would take over a minute to start my servers up, but now its faster and closer to 20-45 seconds.
I had it working perfect and over night this happened and after restarting completely from scratch I can't find what the issue is. I had the server scheduled to restart at 3am and noticed I had backup logs until then, but after that I don't think the server came back up properly cause there weren't anymore backups after that. I can see the server is up with the steam servers list through lan, but when I click connect I get "unable to query server info for invites." when looking through the game under lan nothing shows up.
Do you have any idea what could be causing this? with fresh resets on the server, PC, Modem, and using other machines to connect I'm at my wits end on this.
Thanks again for all your help, looking forward to getting past all the frustration.
