To play ark, I use PC in same LAN that ASM is working.
ASM is running on other PC, in my home. Friend use PC in external net, in friend house.
To enable Enable Public IP for Epic, I cant play ark in my home PC. But my friend can play ark. To disable Enable Public IP for Epic, I can play ark in my home PC. But my friend cant play ark. In the case we cant play ark, my server appeared in server list. But timeout is occurred, after we input the password.
As I said previously "I honestly have no idea what is happening. I do not use the EPIC client, so I have no experience with it."
1. Have you set a local IP for your server - it is in the Administration section of ASM. 2. Try adding your server to the steam server favorites list, you will need to use your local ip address and query port. 3. Enable Public IP for Epic, and try to connect to your server, using the favorites list, not the unofficial list.
If that works, try getting your friend to connect to your server.
As you are connecting via the LAN, you will need to use a local IP, not the servers public IP.
I can play ark with my friends. I share how to resolve.
1. I set a local IP for my server - it is in the Administration section of ASM. 2. Enable Public IP for Epic. -> My server appeared in unofficial server list and my friend can play ark. 3. I input the server password to try entering the my server on unofficial server list. (But time out is occurred.) -> If I skip this step, I cannot enter the my sever in step 4. (Error message was kind of "Password is "".") 4. I start the single play, and execute "open (local address):(server port)" at command console. -> I can enter the my server.
Thank you for your help, bletch.
