Hello! Just got my first cluster setup and everything is going great! Loving the ASM tool.
I've run into the following problem - Inside ASM my player count never changes, but clicking on RCON will show the current player counts.
(The window showing connected players is the RCON window)
Inside ARK the servers are listed and the player counts seem to be working properly. It will show the total number of players online. Websites like battlemetrics and arkservers.net, however, always display 0 players online - despite there being a handful of random players on the server.
My first thought was checking all of my ports but, they all look good. All 3 of my clustered maps are running on the same dedicated server and I have opened the ports on the firewall. Ports 7777-77785 and 27015-27020. Map1 - 7777, 27015 Map2 - 7779, 27017 Map3 - 7781, 27019
Like battlemetrics and arkservers.net, ASM relies on a steam server connection to get the number of connected players. When a player using the EPIC launcher connects to your server, they are not registered correctly with steam, as they are not using a steamid to connect to your server with.
This means that when we check the player count, only the steam player number is returned. There is no way around this I can see, and only Wildcard can address this.
The RCON window does it a little differently, in that it polls the online player through RCON, which gets the correct number.

Okay, great! Thank you for the clarification. I will stop worrying about it then :-)
