I've had a couple of people talk to me about logos for the ASM. There is currently a major UI redesign going on, and I think it's only fair that if people are going to design logos they get a peek at the change. So here is a representation of the UI design in-process:
1. Your work must be your own. Obviously 2. Avoid infringing Studio Wildcard's copyrights. This basically means that copying their images or parts thereof is off-limits, but you can create original works that are thematically similar - think "inspired by" rather than "copied from." We are going off of US Copyright and Trademark rules here, which may be different from those in your own country. Please don't take it personally if we have to reject a design because we feel it risks a legal tussle with Wildcard. 3. You can submit any number of iterations, but please don't keep submitting the same iteration - I'll just delete duplicates. 4. Try to make the logo work with the new UI design theme (as shown above), not the old one. 5. The final logo design will be chosen by forum polling, not by the developers.
I'll leave the thread open to submissions for one week from today (closing at 00:00 Pacific time Friday the 17th, which is 08:00 UTC). That should give us enough time to work through the new UI integration and people will be able to see how the UI is shaping up. You might also find that the logo or parts thereof could show up in a few different places in the UI, so this gives you an opportunity to make multiple versions in different sizes for those locations (think splash screen, About Box, main window, etc.)
