I was able to get my local game copied over and running on the server, but it was a very manual process. I didn't find any automated way to do it.
This is from memory, so I may miss something and I in no way endorse this as a complete walk through that is guaranteed to work.
First setup and start a new server using ASM. Once it's fully up and running connect to it and create a character. Don't take a lot of time here, it's going to get replaced... Disconnect from the server and stop it.
Now find your original local game folder. It's probably something like C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\SavedArksLocal. You're looking for the files TheIsland.ark and <something>.arkprofile TheIsland.ark is the world file The .arkprofile file is your character file. There will be one of these for each person that joins your server, but only one under your local game. You're going to copy these two files into the SavedArks folder for the new server you just created. <Your ARK server Data Dir>\Servers\<your server name>\ShooterGame\Saved\SavedArks
There will already be a TheIsland.ark file and a .arkprofile file. Rename the servers TheIsland.ark file to TheIsland.ark.bak Copy your local game TheIsland.ark file over. Rename the servers .arkprofile file to <current name>.bak Copy your local game .arkprofile file over. Rename your local game .arkprofile file to match what the server .arkprofile name was. For example, if: Local game .arkprofile was localgame.arkprofile and Server .arkprofile was 12345678901234567.arkprofile Rename rename localgame.arkprofile to 12345678901234567.arkprofile
Now restart the server and you should be good to go. You should have all your animals, all your gear, and all your stats and engrams.
*****Don't attempt ANY of this without making backups off all files/folders you are going to modify!**** *****Do all off this AT YOUR OWN RISK*****
