Hello everyone.
I've been running a private server (for myself and a friend or two) for a while now and have recently tossed the idea of changing the server to semi-public to allow lots of players on the server at once. What I'd like to do is mention a few points and see if there is any interest in the community for joining our dedicated 24/7 server.
1. Our current private server has been online for months now with no issues. We are running "The Island" map.
2. Our server is PVE and we wish to promote a friendly, cooperative server.
3. The server has some custom settings such as day time being twice as long as night time, Faster taming speeds, slightly higher resource gathering, etc... We have a Facebook group with more information specific to our server.
4. Our server will be semi-public. In other words our server will require a password to join. Users who request access would be given the password. We are doing this to limit the amount of unknown players who may simply login once or twice and not return as well as to hopefully avoid any griefers who may jump in just to cause trouble then leave. We truly want to create a good community who will be active in current and future hosted games here at SOZnet On-Line Gaming.
5. As stated above we are currently hosting "The Island" but we are thinking of starting from scratch with the newly released DLC map "The Center" let us know your thoughts on sticking with "The Island" vs. going to the new DLC "The Center" map.
