With ARK, it isn't just survival which is evolving - the server settings do too. If you find a server setting which is not available in the Ark Server Manager, please let us know. We need the following information
1. Which setting or settings are missing 2. Documentation describing the settings. In particular:
* The name of the server setting(s) * The file and section in which the setting(s) must appear * The value format - particularly if it is a compound value like the custom dino spawns * The default value for the setting(s) * The meaning of the value(s)
Please provide a link to the original data, as well as a *copy* of the information here - sometimes links to forum posts become stale or lost, so a link alone is not always enough.
No the Ground Ants and Flying ants are not the same thing.
The option in the manager only controls Ant_Character_BP_C and not FlyingAnt_Character_BP_C so they are NOT being controlled by the same check mark.
When removing them, it only adds Ant_Character_BP_C to the .ini file to remove, and ignores the FlyingAnt_Character_BP_C
Can you please indicate what you are trying to do with the flying ants.
Like everything Wildcard does, they are not consistent with the server settings. When setting spawn rates for the creatures the DinoTagName is used. When setting the damage and resistance multipliers the BP name is used.
Yes, the BP name for Ants and Flying Ants is different, but the DinoTagName is the same. When the Flying Ant was included in the ASM it would write out 2 sets of spawn information for Ants and caused occasional problems.
So are you: 1. Trying to change the spawn rates and multiplers? 2. Trying to change the Damage and resistance multipliers?
also there is a bug with the Querzal its since the last Update not spawning. Spawrate x3 nothing =/
I have submitted a new version that contains the new creatures. Not that I need to explain myself, but the cheat commands are NOT what I need for the server settings. In order for the spawns to work for the new creatures, we need DinoNameTag values and until the DEVKIT is updated we can only guess what they are. In the past I have only managed about 50% guessed correctly and so this time I waited until the DEVKIT was updated to get the proper values.
If Wildcard really cared for the community, they would release this sort of information to the public in their release notes. I am sick of waiting for the DEVKIT to be updated 2 or more versions behind the current.
